Photo Weekends

“All we have to do is open our eyes to see the beauty that surrounds us” – gwc

Getting good photographs of birds, butterflies, insects and other small subjects is not an easy task. Knowing how to use the equipment you have or what equipment you may need is a big part of the learning process, as well as being useful in getting good photos. The photo weekends have been designed to help you accomplish this and provide you with many photo opportunities.

Most of the time will be spent photographing the various subjects and plenty of time will be provided for helping you develop your photos skills and for answering questions.

The photographic areas consist of three plus acres that have been developed by a photographer for photographers. The National Wildlife Federation has designated the area as a Backyard Wildlife Habitat. Areas have been developed to attract various birds, butterflies and insects. To date we’ve had over 30 varieties of birds to visit our photographic areas plus various butterflies, moths, skippers, chipmunks, squirrels, and reptiles.

Instructors

Gary has been photographing since the 1980’s and has been published worldwide in numerous books, calendars, magazines and company brochures. His work is represented by photos stock agencies and is sold worldwide. He and his wife Janice host “For Everything There Is A Season” photo weekends. They look forward to having you join them for a photo weekend.

Robert Smith is a wildlife biologist who has been carrying a camera in the woods regularly since 1987. Robert has had images published in a number of books and magazines. Robert enjoys helping other photographers learn more about the subjects we photograph.

Cost of the photo weekend does not include motel, travel, and meals. We provide Saturday lunch, snacks, soft drinks and water.
